I have interchanged doors. Several times from all year ranges. However, something must be slightly different. 15 years ago the salvage yards sold different doors for the pre 74 then later 74.
I was told there were not the same when looking for a door for a 74. I was only 17 and didn't now a thing. I still put a 71 door on my 74 and it fit even though pull a part said it wouldn't.

I believe the only difference is in the side impact brace. The later years are heavier.

Any of the doors will bolt up and look correct.

classic industries shows the 1975-81 to bee the same, and the 1970-74s to be the same. They want 679 for the door and 99 for the skin. The door is a little rich for me and I do not have the equipment to do the skin. Salvage yard for me, thanks to all that replied........1SG

The inner handle was what was different. A little cutting and welding and the doors can be swapped either way.

If you don't mind using different interior trim and handles you can put any 1970-81 door on.

that's is why I never noticed. I've never had door panels.
Even my current Camaro has home made panels.

I really think that the outer handle is different. I believe that they were shorter on the early years, and longer on the later ones.

Handles are different, but either handle works on either door.
