Smile 1979 chevy camaro

Ok i got the year Camaro i wanted but i was wondering what you guys thought. I am wanting to paint my car cause i dont really like the yellow. The car is original yellow paint with a vinyl top as you can see in my pic. If you guys have any good ideas on what colors or what would look good.

Congrats dude. I just picked up a '78 the other day too.
As for paint, my friend and I are leaning towards black, with maybe some red stripes. I'm a big fan of the black with red accents look in just about any car.

Black is really nice looking, but your body better be PERFECT, if you choose black! Every tiny imperfection will jump out at you, and really look worse on a black paint job.
I love black, but most folks never get their car straight enough to look good in black.

My '81 was "dark blue metallic" with the white stripes. I really liked it. Theres a couple of pics in my albums. I havent had it since '95. I always like 2nd gens, I've had 7. Good luck, nice car and let us see when your done.

Blues look great on a camaro in my book.Theres so many body lines that make the car sharp, but dark colors can hide those lines.light colors can really bring out the toghness of that car.I dont have any pics of it but my dad had a 79 hugger orange with a fire engine red mix with black stripes and man that car was hot.
