Default 1978 Camaro Z28 Grill Emblem

Anywhere know were I can pick one of these up? They almost seem like the dont exist. I'm looking for the one with Black and Gold. It's pretty much the last thing I need to get on this car.

Good luck, they don't make replicas so you either have to find one in good shape in a scrap yard or find one on ebay. Theres a few guys on ebay that sell original GM ones still in the box...but it'll cost you about $300.

That's kind of what I was starting to figure. Oh well, I guess I'm gonna have to pay for it if I come across it. $300.00 is gonna kill me for an emblem though....

No I don't, I wish I did....the emblem is still on the gas tank door in the back and it is in MINT condition but for some reason there is no front one.

There is a guy on ebay that sells stickers that fit in the bracket. But you don't have it so... I guess anti up, just like the rest of us. I need silver and grey if you come across one in your searches let me know. I'll do the same for ya. On the up side They look good without it. That is why I am thinking of using 79 stripes, they put Z28 right up on the nose.

I thought about stripes for a while but here's my issue with that....I know nothing about paints or painting cars and I would want the stripes painted on....The issue I think I have is that this car was painted in the mid 80's with lacquer and the paint is FLAWLESS. I have no reason to go through all the trouble of putting a base/coat clear coat on it no. Someday I would like to paint the car, and also this car has a 6 inch Cowl on it due to the motor being pulled back and raised for header clearance. The Z28 stripe kit wouldn't work lol. If I can every even come across one I'll have to pick it up.

I got lucky with one of my emblums, I put an ad on my local classifieds (kijiji) looking for a 78 grille and the guy sold it to me with the emblum still on it for $20. I asked him about the emblum and he said he didnt even know they came off lol.

You lucky bastard. I found the one for my car under the seat about 6 years ago, then put it on. When I bought it back from the guy that I sold it to. GONE. I was like dude they don't make those and he said "I threw it away I think."
