Default 1977 performance mods

New to camaro scene as my friend just got a 1977 LT with 305 and 56k original miles. I have worked on Plymouths and Fords in the past. first off, it doesnt look like a traditional dual system will fit under the '77. What do you do for exhaust on these. Will a dual system fit with mufflers located under the seat area? Also can you expect a nice performance increase from a 4brl intake and carb? looking for some intel so we can get to work on this car!

Thanks

Sam

HI I DRIVE A 75 CAMARO AND WHEN I BOUGHT IT, IT WAS TWO BARREL 350, BUT I HAVE SINCE CHANGED MANY THINGS INCLUDING THE CARBURETOR TO A 4 BARREL AND IT DOES INCREASE YOUR TAKE OFF SPPEED OFF THE LINE, AND DOWN THE ROAD BUT IT IS WORSE ON GAS (IF YOU KEEP YOUR FOOT INTO IT) . aND IT ALSO HAS TRUE DUAL EXHAUST WITH THE MUFFLES ABOUT EIGHT OR NINE INCHES INFRONT OF THE REAR AXLE, WHICH SEEMS TO BE THE BEST PLACE FOR THEM. BUT IT IS N OT A COMPLICATED PIPE SYSTEM JUST BASICLY STRAIGHT ALL THE WAY BACK. HOPE THAT HELPS

Order a classic industries catalog, I looked for mine it has a factory exhaust diagram in it for all of the years 67-81 check that out, another option is getting them bent for your car. I will do that for my camaro when the v8 goes in there. It shouldent cost more than a couple hundred bucks. good luck.
