well. me and my dad put a 350 in my 77 bout 5 yrs ago and we put a bbc radiator in it. i dont know what it came from but its no wider then stock but much longer. i drove thro the mojave desert in the dead of summer and it never got over 170 and i was going likr 90mph. ide sugest to get mesurments of the stock and mesurments of a bbc. it cant be any wider cuse of the mount i sopose. but it can be longer. might be abel to find one in a junk yard from a rv or old truck. flush it out then put some stabilizer in it and check for holes.. those are bad.lol . it would save you alot of money anyways. hope this helps.

There is only two widths radiators made to fit your car. If you look at the lower mount on the core support you will see them easily with the radiator out. Chances are you have the narrow model, to the outside of those mounts there will be another set of holes to move the isolation pads to for a wider radiator. Remember, when changing width you also need to change the upper panel too.

Big block & small block both used the same radiators. The heavy duty cooling system had more cores (thicker), it was shared by big block and small block A/C cars.

Thank you for your advice tode5tool and JRs72RS. So do you guys think I will be okay just buying the one that Auto Zone has in stock? It looks good enough I was just wondering if there was anything else I should know.

I am heading to Kansas this weekend to do all the repairs and I will certainly take this advice into consideration. Once again, thank you. [sm=hail.gif]
