Went down and had a look but it just needs to much money spent on it to make it a viable investment. Theres alot of craze crack in the paint, the entire dash is out of the car and it needs a new dash pad and the drivers seat recovered. needed new roof lining and....basically needed to be restored in my books, but a good car to do it too

It was a great little project but not for that sort of money.

All the numbers stack up to be correct

What do you fellas think?
I would have to take a pass on that one for that price as well. You can find solid project cars for allot less money or nice drivers for slightly more.

My SS has the same chrome rings around the tailights. But the RS or any that had this feature didn't have chrome around the tailights, it was polished stainless.

Really doesn't sound that far off considering what it would sell for when done. Hang the dash, put in new pad, interior, clean under the hood and paint, and then paint the body. You could spend a whole lot more restoring a worse car, or the same and not have an early RS and do way more work.
Around here a early RS that's nice restoration will get up around $20k, so I guess you'd have to figure if you could get it there for $10k?

for that kinda starting bid, he really should have thrown in more pictures. especially since its only $2 for 24 pics. front clip is rs, as for the rest, who knows. ask if hes searched for the build sheet on it. behind the back seat is a good place to look.

Still no guarantee it came as an RS but it does make it more likely if all the RS front end parts are there. You should run some pics of the car on here and see what members think of the car before you lay down any cash. We look out for each other and don't like to see anyone get taken.
While the statement if it were a 70 or 71 z22 (rs) it would include Z21 is technically correct, it's not totally correct. The Z22 option includes all of the Z21 items listed, but the Z21 will not be spelled out on the buildsheet separately. The build sheet will only say Z22. You could order the Z21 option on any camaro. In those cases the Z21 would be on a build sheet.

Good info but you're replying to a 12 year old post.
