Default 1968 RS front end

I just purchased a 1968 camaro coupe and I was thinking of putting on a RS grille. This car is not an RS to start. I see there are kits for the complete grille, vacum etc. Do I need to change the front fenders or are my regular fenders OK? Is there any other parts i need? Thanks for the help

I have been thinking about doing the same thing with my 67, I assume it would be the same ? If I'm not mistaken I believe the front fenders are the same, at least that's what I have been told.

The rs and reg camaro grill and assy.will not interchange because the rs headlight assy.are recessed farther back in nose of fender for hide-away doors...67...68...69 rs fenders are different..they do have different part #s........Allan....carnutt94

I just finished my 68 rs . I replaced everything on my frontend . finders are different and the inner finders are different . 68 inner finders have a hole in them under the headlight assembly. for the headlight shaft that opens them . 67 is electric so they do not need the hole. If it was me. I would put the 67 rs grille and headlight assembly in . last time I checked it was around a $1000 for all the vacuum tanks and hoses . One more thing to think about is if you go with the 68 vacuum type. you have to watch that you do not run to big of a cam in your motor. Big Cam Less vacuum!! Hope this helps.
