Looking at a 1967 Camaro SS. Price is 16500.00 Very clean and straight inside and out. Doubt it is a true SS and definitely know the motor is not original. It has a 454 BB, built with numerous aftermarket internals. Owner isn't claiming this car to be a true SS. My question is will I be able to run the thing on regular pump gas as it has 11:1 compression ratio. The owner claims he does with no problems. Car also has a 10 bolt rearend with Richmond posi internals and a turbo 350 transmission. Any advice??!!

 

It will probably run on regular with a way retarded spark. I which case it won't be much better than a 6 cylinder.
