15 inch wheels 70 camaro
#3
my buddy has 235/15/60 on the front of his 74 camaro and when he hits any type of bumps tires cut into fender and thats what i am worried about. Im not sure what back spacing is? I would like 15 inch tires but i dont wanna worry about tires getting ruined, so i may stay with the original 14's

you can fit 15s fine. thing is wheels have back spacing. if you look at a new honda civic or newer cars the line at which the wheel is bolted to the car is on the outside. see here with the pictures.
the first picture has a different spacing than those slotted mag wheels.
sorry if i didnt make much sense. im pretty tired.

I still dont understand back spacing? do you mean depth or width of the wheel? I have never heard that term before, sorry if its a dumb question, but I'm new at restoring. Also is it better to run 15's or just leave the 14's on it. It's got 14 F40's on back they are pretty wide tires and look good but I was wanting to put 70's all around.
