My paint guy says there was no Madeira Metallic Maroon available for the Camaro, only Madeira Maroon. I do see some conflicting data.

Questions: Is it the same color, only with the metallic flakes added?

What was it available for in 67? It seems to be available for the Corvette???

Anyone with knowledge in this, input appreciated. I want to stay with a GM color to be true to the car, I like the Maroon, but the Metallic Maroon looks really nice.

my 67 is Madeira Maroon and there doesn't appear to be any metallic in it. It's a recent paint job, so it's clean, shinny and looks good, but when I repaint the car after some work I'm going to do, I'm going with a different color all together and it will have metallic in it.

 

Thanks, I decided to go with the Madeira Maroon Metallic. It's a period correct color and I like the metallic version of the color.

They were supposed to do the first color coat today, I'm not sure that it happened.

 

I think the metallic is a great choice. Really like that look.

 

I agree. I pulled mine out of the garage the other day and took it for a ride. Hit some sun and mine is metallic. It looks great when clean.
That would be a good choice. I know I said earlier that mine wasn't metallic, but it is.
