Default White Gel HELP??

I just bought a 94 Z28 to restore and as I was going through everything I found white gel on the oil filler cap and some at the end of the coolant resovior dipstick. I have read several places that that is normal condensation and I have read blown headgasket. I changed the oil today and other than being really thin and really dirty there was no milky white in the oil. Also I guess you should know the car has sat in an old ladies garage for the past 5 years barely being driven. So I took some measures moved up to 10w30 and used Lucas treatment, plus I plan on flushing the radiator because that does seem to have a cloudy consisteny. Am I wasting my time with flushing the radiator or should I just have the head gasket changed?

get all your fluids changed, flush the cooling system and go from there. it may be a build up of condensation from setting. once in a great while a failing head gasket can push oil into the cooling system.
