Default Lobed cam?

Hey guys, having an issue w the 69 ss I just recently purchased. I noticed some popping in the exhaust. I figured there were some carb issues. The car would pop in 4th gear when is was at low rpms and then accelerated quickly. I had carb rebuilt but, it was so scaled from the great gas these days. I ended up
Installing a holley 770. Still same issues. Today I rePlaced all plugs and also adjusted the timing. I had a cracked plug w/ a little build up on it. Over all plugs were good. The popping seems to be getting worse now im getting it through all gears at all rpms. Also the car is hesitating more. I was told it might be a lobed cam. Any suggestions???? Thanks

Cams are supposed to have lobes thats how they function. I believe
the guy who told you that fact must have intended to say you have a cam lobe that has been wiped,in other words what was once a lobe is
now just pretty much a circle. Now I am not telling you thats your problem, just explaining what the guy intended to say. ed

What kind of ignition are you running? Are you running msd box? I had that same problem when i was running my msd box. I took it off and it was fine....
