Default Difference in repo sheetmetal?

I saw a rear full quarter panel that was a yearone for 400... Then I found the same side, full quarter panel for 299... Is there that much of a difference or is someone going to get ripped off?

There are basically two types of repop panels these days. First are the American made panels, produced with original dies. Second is the import line of panels. With the price range you are looking at, I'm certain they are import parts.

Import parts are alright, but you should know where they are originating from. Panels made from a poor grade of steel or thinner gauge steel are cheap only in the purchase price. The labor it takes to get them to match up to your car makes them a pain to work with. Also, they do not weld very good. To get the best price buy them direct from the importer if possible. If you cannot then find a supplier as close as possible to the importer to get a good price.

Right now Dynacorn pretty much has a monopoly on the US market for muscle car panels. Their parts are also for sale through Yearone, Classic Industries, Cars Inc & Goodmark. We have had good luck with their parts, mostly door gaps, trunk lid gaps to deal with after installing them. The panels weld good and fit as they should. Do your shopping and ask BEFORE handing over your hard earned money.

Thanks for the response... Could I get a link to dynacorn please? I have a lot of things on my mind before these camaros, but that would be one less headache.
