Hello all
im thinking about a ZZ crate motor from Chevrolet and it’s A short block. I am wondering how well the older double hump heads would do on that application. Any thoughts?

 

I'd upgrade to something better,they'll work and should have the .194 intake valves but there are better options out there.
Why go short block VS long block? Even if you have an old set of heads from a 327 they should be magnafluxed and gone through by a machine shop so you're not saving much.
