1969 L78 Engine Block Rebuild - Value Question

All: I have a 1969 Camaro with a L-78 Big Block 396 that needs a rebuild. My question for the group is - do I get more overall car value from keeping the original steel cast cylinder heads - or would it hurt or improve value if I jumped to the winters (or other) aluminum cylinder heads (more HP - fun to drive, lighter, etc.). Unsure which direction to go here - could use some advice.

I say go aluminum but keep the iron heads (don't sell). Winters casting are probably pretty pricey and need to be inspected very carefully. Are you staying stock compression and solid lifter? The nice thing about going aluminum heads is they are more pump gas friendly with high compression. Also takes about 75 lbs off the front end.

For what it's worth I agree 100%.
