Gear Ratio Advice
I'm rebuilding my 69's gearbox, my parts list includes a 6 puck sprung hub clutch disc, aluminum flywheel and pressure plate. unfortunately my car needs both a dragster and a daily driver. You can see the performance specs below, im looking for a quick drag time, high top speed, and driveability.

Your best bet would be a transmission with close ratios (2.20:1 first) and overdrive, and some fat rear end gears to get you rolling. The close ratios will keep the engine in the sweet range, and the overdrive will make things more tolerable for street use. 4.11, 4.56, 4.88, 5.12; depending if you are running 1/8 or 1/4 mile, and how much freeway driving you plan to do. Make sure the chassis is set up to handle the power you intend to make.
