Anyone with OD trans and 308 rear end???
If so what rpm's are you turning at 65 or 70 mph?? Is it a good set up or do i need to lower the gears when i swap trans--I have a set of 332's on the shelf --is that ok??
With 3.08's, you're going to barely be using overdrive unless you're cruising 100 mph in the flatlands, with a tail wind. You'll be chugging the engine down at normal highway speeds, meaning you'll never use o.d. I have 4.10's, no overdrive. If I did have o.d., my gears would be perfect all around for my driving habits and performance wants. With overdrive, I would go with 3.73's which would give you great low end performance, and yet a modest highway rpm.
Thanks --kinda what i thought had a 700r4 and 355's in a 55 chevy and it was about right--Not racing the Camaro as it has a sag and 10 bolt--that i will replace as they die

I redid the counting for the rear end numbers and paid more attention and the rear is 332 gears--dosen't help my wish for a od trans tho--2400rpm's at 65mph too with 26 in tires
