hey guys, my 67 has a M20 trans and 3:31 rear end. The car has a healthy 383, im looking at changing the rear end gears to possibly 3:73? Just wondering what your thoughts are on this... the car is plenty fast, which once im going over 100 I don't care about. Id rather have the low end torque for burnouts and such... any ideas on other set ups?

 

I can tell you I am grateful to have 3.73.s on take off..

 

I'm no expert on rear gears, but 3:73 is what I'm gonna get. It seems to be a standard for somewhat of a balanced low end vs cruising rpm.

Or at least that's the way it seems to me.
