Just noticed you had started this new thread on your build. 3" drop is quite a lot on the rear end depending on the tire size you plan to use. Sounds like you are building a track car with the overall lowered ride height.. the roads in my neighborhood are a bit rough to go that low. I have dropped the front of my 68 about 2" using adjustable coilovers instead of dropped spindles.

68hou ~ well, I figure it this way. I installed new poly body bushings which lifted the car back up .5"-1" as the old ones were original. Then, the original front & rear springs are sagging at least 1" if not more. SO in all actuality, my 3" lowing kit will probably be closer to 1.5"-2" after all is said & done. Plus the new shocks all around.
Does that make sense? Or is this just in "my" head?
Rear tires are 265/35/18s and front are only 225/35 (will change to 235 next time) so all in all we'll find out. Hoping to drop the car back on the ground tonight or tomorrow to find out. =)

It does make sense, but the math may not be exact. lol... since old stuff is a bit unpredictable. The new suspension will certainly respond differently to loads and stress which should be a good thing. Are you mini-tubing at the same time you do the trunk floor?
