Default 68 stance is off by 1/2 inch left vs right

Newbie here...Just noticed the left side of my Camaro is 1/2"-3/4" lower than the right. Air pressure is all the same and all the suspension was rebuilt with same parts on both sides. Any ideas?

Thanks
Jim

Did you replace the suspension parts, or have someone else do it? Once new parts are put on, and before nuts and bolts get tightened up, you put wheels on the ground and bounce the rear of the car a few times to settle it in. Then tighten everything up. If things were tightened up with wheels suspended, you could have some pre-loaded bushings.

Thanks Camaro 69...I had someone re-assemble suspension. Will check and possibly read do. From my research it seems a lot of 60’s Chevys have the same problem with no solution for the most part.

You could always try swapping the leaf springs. Even though they are a pair, they might not be identical twins as far as spring rate goes.

If all else fails run separate lines to your air shocks. (I'm assuming you are running air shocks given the original post)

I figured he was talking about air pressure in the tires?

Although, independent air shocks wouldn't be a bad idea, to be able to dial in the ride height to get it juuuust right! Some cars that have self-leveling rear suspension are nothing more than air shock equipped.

You should sit in front of the Camaro and observe the corners of the fenders to the bottom of the windshield and look in seeing if the front end is parallel.
If not, then look under the floor between the rail and floorboard.
You should not be able to stick your hand between the rain and floorboard, just your fingers.
the firewall mounts are the fulcum point and rear bolt in the rail may have pulled down the drvr side mounting.
Not much you can do except visit a frame shop and ask about straightening the rail/subframe to floor.

Default Did you get condition corrected?

I have a 1967 Camaro rs with a 3/4" stance lower on passenger side. Have new multi leafs on rear and new coil springs in front. Does anyone know if front eye of leaf springs are supposed to be torque or tighten and backed off like a wheel bearing
