Thanks! Well for an update here's some pics. A few weeks ago I took the dif cover off to check the gears and they are all good. Except when we went to take out the pin/bolt, we found that it was broke in half. So that will have to be removed and I have a shop that is going to help me with that once we get the exhaust and the rear end back on.


Today I got the axle primed. I'm going to paint it black this afternoon.

 

And my order from summit came today. Here's what we got so far.
New headers.

New hooker aerochamber mufflers

exhaust

alternator

dif cover kit

 

I need that alternator in the worst way!!! Mine got toasted! Awesome pics... you are my HerO.

jeez....after reading all of this with the detailed pics, i feel like i could tackle my own 69 rebuild, lol. however, i'd be doing a 67 ss convertible so i guess these pics would do me no good, haha. i didn't realize your car started off in such shambles. i found a whole new respect for you today when i read this. do you have a new date you're shooting for this to be done?

 

Yes I want it done by my birthday this July. This may makes 2 years since I bought it and hopefully we will get it done now that its warming up outside and I have some time to work on it.

Wow, I just read the whole thread. The car looks great! What is going on with the engine?

 

well work to come soon on the engine now that I have my alternator. It was the last piece of the puzzle. Also waiting on my wiring harness so we can start to wire the car.
