Default money pit!! TON OF PICS ON Pg 8.. 1/1/13 Game-Over Progression Thread

hello,
new to the forum, not so much to modifing cars or other forums...

i just picked up a 1969 X44 Z28 clone about 2 weeks ago on a trade for my last projest car..

i wanted to start a thread to introduce myself and what i'm about...
and to let others follow what i'm about to start...

please feel free to give positive and Negitive feedback ( i know what the webs are about, I can handle it)

i enjoy the forum world so expect to see me around.....

what i started with...

87' w/ a 305 completly stock
ended with....
350 crate motor, 350 turbo tranny

i was 17-18.... lol

i traded that for this which started completly stock....

this was my first show car...

traded that after winning a bunch of shows for this
07' scion tc sompletly stock

turned into a half descent road racing/ track car

and i just traded that for this...

hope i get some people to follow this... thanks for checking it out...

I never liked base model Camaros. The Toyota Celica is yuck! I kind of have a soft spot for the Scion TC, but don't tell anyone. The '69 is gorgeous! Welcome to the forum.

thanks guys...

well.. the previous owner bought the car 95% restored and never did anything to it...

i would like to...

motor..
achieve 400-500 rwhp wheather its with the 350 crate motor thats in it or doing the LS1 transplant... not to sure.....still so many options with this car..

tranny..
im really into racing to i'm torn with this auto tranny.. i would love to have a manual

suspension..
i am a suspenion nut.... i love everything with "handling"... so my focus will be mostly be in making this car handle like my last car....
i know this car is considered a "cow"... but im game for tryn to make it better

brakes..
update them to disc... not to sure what my options are

wheels...
i really want to get rid of these wheels, i'm just not feeling them... they arent for me...
im thinking the gun metal torque wheels?

interior... i really want the guide rails for the seats... im a big dude (6'3 and 280 lbs)
those seats not moving are killing me..lol
and i really want this.....
http://www.ss396.com/mm5/merchant.mv...TRUMENTCLUSTER
because i only have speedo and gas...

thats my plans in a nut shell.... i'm sure some will change

Nice upgrade!

Engine
LS series would probably be better, could be done with the 350 though

Tranny
Depending on type of racing auto could be better for drag racing, but manual for road and auto x

Suspension
Look into air ride technology or something similar

Brakes
There are companies like ssbc that do disc brake conversions and iirc you can get a big brake kit from them instead of standard discs

Wheels
Torque thrusts would look good. There are many choices that look good

Seats
Look into procar and similar companies that make more supportive seats unless you want a full racing seat

Gauge cluster
Looks awesome. Definitely get it

Game-Over, you kinda went the same route as myself! I had a 79 Z28 dropped on CenterLines,Koni suspension,etc........... back in the 80s. 10 years ago got a brand new 99 Civic Si and was into the import scene. I called my car "Nice NOT Rice!" featuring only the best from Zapco amps and EQs,AlumaPro speakers,Myron&Davis screens,Volk Racing rims,Nitto tires,Wilwood brakes,Nuespeed suspension,Benen Industries,Sparco,etc.......... . My car was featured in Car Audio and Electronics mag and Honda Tuning mag. ,2 trips to the CES Las Vegas in the Zapco booth, 25+ trophies in car shows in 3 years showing and then got out of it and sold it. And now I have the car of my dreams, a 69 RS/SS Camaro which I've owned for 2 months and waiting to put my DSE suspension in and resto-mod it! I'm keeping this car forever,Timeless!

Whats up Game-Over..

Looks like a nice ride, I feel ya on the seats. My 68 is a ***** for me to get into and out of, (I'm 6'3" 250). But I can jump right into my Chevelle with no problem, you know a family car with mags is made for a bigger dude.
ps.
I kinda liked the Celica...shhhhhh!!

Welcome
