Full Restoration 1967 Camaro
Hey everyone, having a full restoration done on a 1967 Camaro. The attachments below outline everything that is going to be done from paint and body all the way to mechanical. When you add everything up, it is going to be an even $60,000 give or take if we change things along the way. Just want to get everyone's opinions on whether this is a fair price for a full restoration or go somewhere else? We do have a 454 block and a ton of body pieces purchased years ago. So, that will cut some of the costs down. So, is the price they are quoting fair? This shop does great work and have a close friend that has had two first-gen's done there already. So, not worried about the quality of work. The other thing is would you rather just take that money and go buy a turn-key first-gen? Thanks in advance.
Seems high to me and as if your paying top dollar from a car show. I guess would depend on the state/city your in. What was/will your original cost to purchase the car? Have to include that in with your over all value and determine if the Camaro will be worth that when completed. Also have to think about unknowns that need fixing too ($$$), who knows what they will find once they dig into the body and subframe. And the time it will take... a year plus...? You can get a decent Camaro for 60K that has already been restored. I would take some time and energy to look around first. Find what you want out of the car and look around, even out of state. It's 60K, spend it wisely.
