67 Restoration - Shark Bait (NH)
Well my son and I thought we were buying a #'s match 67 last year but when it was delivered it was quickly obvious it wasn't. Good news is we kept the car and nocked the price down by $5K. Because it wasn't a #'s match we went crazy and painted it hugger orange with black bumble bee, yeah I know it wasn't available in this color scheme in 67. Here are some before/after and progress pics. The engine turned out to be a pretty good gem, 350, 4-bolt main, pulling 175 psi (+/-) 5% in all cylinders and less than 10% leak down. We still pulled it apart and gave it a new set of bearings and seals. Hopefully in the next couple weeks we'll be dropping the engine in. Pricetag so far including shipping $15K

Hey, thanks, no we did the strip and prime and undercoat, I had a pro take over for the final coats of paint. We've been doing all the other work .. it's been a good learning process. Every bolt/screw/nut/wire was removed from the car.
Most of the big ticket items we replaced:
Master hardware kit.
New Quarters, the ones on it were done at one point in the 70's I'm guessing because they were brazed on.
Drivers side floor had a punch hole in it, looked like he ran over a stone wall so we replaced that.
Four new wiring kits from AAW, (Main Upgrade Kit/+Convertible/+Headlights/+RS)
Header Bow on Convertible
Complete deluxe interior with dash pad
Convertible top
Gasket kit (doors/trunk/convertible/....)
Axle Tube from a 72 Nova (old one had been cut & c-clip eliminators installed)
Full disk brake kit
Tubular A-Arms
Stearing links redone (ball joints)
Felpro Engine Gasket set
Pertronix Distributor
The nose was in pretty good shape. Just had to do a little adjusting to the headlight doors and buy some bushings/teflon washers and limit switches.

Still looks nice.
I bet the logbook is getting thick.
Staying with externally reg'd alt or going internally reg'd?
If staying with ext reg'd, I suggest getting an electronic VR, Wells P/N VR715, transfer the cover to look like OE, and add a 63 amp 10DN alt.
RockAuto sells both.
