Default 67 Build Thread

So I bought my car a few months ago and spent a fair amount of money on it. I put in full Hotchkis TVS, 4 wheel disc brakes, new upgraded steering box, Headers and exhaust, converted from an auto to a 5 speed.

Brought it to get it painted and decided to go all out.

Car will be painted with House of Kolors candy apple red on top and silver sides. Here is what my plans are. Please let me know if there is something I am missing that I should do while it is all apart.

Heidt front and rear clips with rack & pinion, coilovers and Wilwood 13 inch front.12 inch rear brakes.

383 with all forged internals

Recaro front seats and complete interior being redone in a restomod theme, custom made center console painted to match

Vintage A/C

Becool Aluminum Radiator

all new windows and making them power along with power locks

Billet Specialties Wheels and Steering Wheel

Ididit 8 position tilt column

Moved this to (of all places) the projects section.
Maybe it's just me, but I prefer the way it looks in the "after" picture.
Nice work.

It is far from finished. It is about to be taken apart 100% for a full frame off nut and bolt restomod now with all the above mentioned upgrades. The paint job on it now looks ok in photos but in person it is UGLY and panel gap is beyond bad. By the end of next week the body should be on a rotisserie and being prepped for a nice paint job and proper panel gaps. Motor will be in the machine shop and Heidt front and rear components on the way. I just want to make sure I am not missing or forgetting anything while it is all apart. I will make sure to post pictures as it goes on. I anticipate 4-5 months and it will be done. All parts were ordered today. It is going to be a long 5 months but I look forward to watching the progress and jumping in to help as much as I can,.

Yes. A solid 10 footer. Anything closer and you can see all the spots that were missed and the horrible panel alignment. Entire car is coming apart now and going back together properly this time.

Your wife (I'm assuming) has that "man are you nuts" look on her face.

I think she thinks I am nuts, however, I think she might be more excited then I am about it. She is ready to drive it. Lucky for me she is cool and doesn't care what I do with my cars, she even let's me mess with hers.
