1967 Restoration - Parts suppliers

Started the project and have been working on a parts list. Most of what I'm looking for is available from Classic Industries. But I'm interested in finding other suppliers. Who have you guys been using and for what? All suggestions are appreciated.

NPD has been my goto place for a long time. Their MI. warehouse is only a couple miles from me.

Just curious ,what your plans are for the car?
Take it back to original? Resto-mod? SS or Z28 Clone? Just a nice cruiser or maybe a hotrod?
There's so many ways a guy can go with a basic six banger car in need of a full restoration especially give the plain jane basic cars aren't begging to be brought back to original as a Z or SS might be since the value and desirability is not the same.
I wish I could stumble across a deal on one like this, they're few and far between around here and people want stupid money for total junk.

Just a nice cruiser. Bought it from my grandpa in '96. He bought it new in '67. Then came life, kids, college, elderly dad. Finally made it to retirement and here we are. Got a big block and TH400 to drop in it.

Sounds like it will be a fun cruiser!
Well if you are going big block take note that you will need to change the heater core to a big block core.
The BB core relocates the heater hoses out closer to the fender to clear the bigger motor's cylinder head.

Thanks, while looking up parts I couldn't think of any reason not to just get the stock 6 cylinder core. Any other pointers would be greatly appreciated. Do I have to have the cowl induction hood? Will my powerglide transmission mount work?

Well it's been over 40 years since I had my '69 that I swapped a 427 into replacing a dead 327 and I had a 4 speed.
Not sure sure you'll need the hood if using a stock intake and carb,I had an aluminum highrise intake and big Holley double pumper, the hood wouldn't close with an aircleaner on the carb so I had to swap it out.
I think you'll need a different trans mount and probably have to move the crossmember back for the T-400,hopefully it's a short tail trans, they come in two lengths so that's something to research.
Big block springs up front would be a good idea and multi leafs in the back is almost a must have.
You'll also need a big block radiator and fan shroud, some guys go electric fans but I've seen many posts where they didn't get it done, better to have a 6 blade fan and a shroud IMO,these big blocks do run pretty warm.

Thanks for the info. Trans is short tail. All the rest agrees with what I've researched. Where did you pick up the heater core cover on the firewall?
