1967 camaro RS restoration
Hey guys I just got my camaro a couple months ago. I got it as a rolling chassis and I now have it torn down to the shell by itself off the frame. I am getting the frame powdercoated and then I am going to reinstall. I was wonder what the process is going to be to get the car completed. Is there any specific time I should take into paint? Is there anything else important to do to the car while I still have it at this stage?
....I pretty much just don't know where to start once I get this frame back on and get it to a rolling state again.
PLEASE help me guys.

Take it to paint now don't wait for the frame to come back. Most Painters I know are going to want it all apart not assembled. They can get started with the body and panels and then when the subframe comes back you bring it to them with all the body hardware and they'll do the assembly as they prep/prime/shoot.

Depending on how much you know of the body condition, I would consider having it blasted or chem cleaned, or some (new method I'm sure is on the market) to really get a good understanding of the metal in all areas (under the front window - behind the dash, etc...) I would get those areas blasted (sorry sand or bead blasted) really well so you can ensure the metal isn't punky. Also look at the obvious - floor pan, rockers (underneath) and fender wells. Now's the time to check that stuff out and you'll not have another opportunity like this for less money than what your spending already.

Did you check the fit of everything before you tore it down? Once you paint the car you will be very limited on how you can adjust body lines and body gaps.
