Got a 68 RS with an Ivy Gold interior.

The entire dash (glove box included) is Ivy Gold but the instrument panel cluster color is black. I pulled it out today and noticed that it appears to have been painted black (on top of the original Ivy Gold) at some point in it's lifetime

I have some Ivy Gold spray paint and I figure I'll just bring it back to it's original color, but wanted to see if anyone else has an other-than-black color dash with the instrument cluster being black or same color as the dash

Not sure what you're wanting to accomplish. The color of the dash was determined by the interior color and the instrument cluster was always came the same color as the rest of the dash when new. If you are wanting to return the car to the stock appearance, that's what I would do.
