Has anybody put a 6x9 speaker in the center dash?

I haven't put a 6X9 in but I have put an adapter in that has 2 two way 3" speakers. A left and right for the front that works pretty well. You can almost make one yourself if you have some extra plastic that is fairly stiff laying around.

I was going to ask this same question. The speaker in my 67 looks to be about about 3-4" wide and maybe 5 " long. There is not much room in there with the air controls in the way. The 69 may be completely different however.

A 4X6 single cone speaker was the deal at the time.
Yes, there are different combo speaker(s) now to hear better quality.
