Default 69 Z-28 interior paint

greetings all, A friend and I are restoring a 69 Z-28 and need to know if the dash paint was a gloss, semi-gloss, or flat. it is black but some of it has a shine to it and some of it don't, not sure what it was when it left the factory.... thanks for your help..... Larry

Hey there, you want to restore it to original factory state? Why dont you customize it? do it the way you want it to be. I always find customize interior looks nicer! but that is just what i thought. Sorry could help.

this car is so close to being all original we want to keep it that way. I agree custom interiors are nice, we just finished a 67 Chevelle 300 and did a complete custom interior in it , it's a lot nicer than stock

I believe the stock black would be a semi-gloss. Easier to clean than a flat and less glare than the gloss.

its more of a satin black. the true factory has a little shine on it. my 68 still has most of the original paint on it. but is the car a black or white interior car? only the black dashes were semi. other colored were actually color coded with the interior.
