68 Floor Shift Console Install
I just purchased a console for my 68, bought the one I have to put together, so that looks like fun. I have the AIM, but that really doesn't give instructions on how to install. I've search the search button on here and really didn't see anything. I'm not sure if there ever was one in this car, still need to pull the carpet back. I understand there are some dimples to look for. I have a couple questions and if anyone has any instructions, pictures or videos would be awesome.
1. First do I need to cut the carpet where the front mount goes?
2. The same with the back part of the console, does the console have to set on the metal part of floor and can it be mounted on the carpet?
Again, any assistance with be awesome with this. thanks in advance

Yes, pull carpet and bolt F/N 15, Bracket to the floor and rear of console used a rivnut, but a bolt/locknut can be used instead.
