Default '68 Camaro back seat fabric

I'm restoring a '68 Camaro and have ordered new upholstery. The upholstery I've ordered does not have the underside fabric with it that the original seat upholstery has. It's a sort of thick black felt material. Does anyone know what this material is? Do I need it? Where can I find it? Thanks a bunch.

Well you can go to any local fabric store and get good quality felt. I bought some for mine as I am in the process of redoing the back seat. When I ordered my seat covers it didnt come with anything but the cover. I went and got me a roll of cotton batting at the upholstery shop and I remade the burlap piece with the wire that runs thru it. Check out the last page of my project thread to see what I did for mine.
