Default 67 console gauge installation

Hi All

I am going to install console gauges to my 67 Camaro that had no console gauges and I was wondering what the process is? Can you use your original console and if so how do I know where to cut it? Also where does the wiring for the gauges plug into?

Dash harness needs console connector, otherwise, you'll be splicing and eliminating dash instruments.
These schematics may help.

You are going to need to drill 4 holes in the transmission tunnel. The forward 2 to will be used for the front "U" shaped bracket. Then there are 2 holes behind the shifter hole that you will need to drill for 5/16" nutserts. One bolt head will be in the right front of the console glove box and the other under the rear ashtray. The Factory Assembly Manual has all the dimensions. I can't recall but there may also be dimples where the holes need to be drilled. You are also going to need to convert your non-gauge harness to a gauge harness. There are conversion harnesses available.
