Throttle positioner
I have a new (to me ) 67 Camaro. It has a Holley carb on it. There is a piece mounted to the carb throttle with it's own cable separate from the throttle. it has 2 wires connected to it. It seems likle it may be a thrpottle positioner but I don't know why it's there. Tried to follow the wires with no luck. Any ideas would be appreciated.

It has two cables and two wires?
Maybe you could post a picture?
What does the cable do? Does it have a manual choke or electric or vacuum? Could it be a kickdown for an automatic transmission ?
Does it look something like this?

I thought maybe it was a T400,they have an electric kickdown switch.
That is what you have with the short cable going to it and the two wires attached.
It could be that switch is bad or the switch on the side of the trans,it's a little plug with one wire or the kickdown solenoid itself inside the trans pan.
