2010 v6 swap into 1967 camaro
I was wondering what I would have to do to swap the drivetrain out of a 2010 ls camaro in to my 1967 rs. I have seen a lot of people who done LSx swaps, but no one who has do a v6. Is this a fools errand or what?

The process would be about the same except you would not beable to buy any type of kits. Do you have a machine shop in your garage? How is you still with electronic? Can you reprogram the computer system?
I know people like to do things off the path to be different but the cost and work involved can get insane without aftermarket support. Just think about the headers. They will have to be custom made $1200-1500 . The wiring harness and computer for a LSX motor can all be bought as plug and play. The V6 your going to have to figure out.
If you really want to be different from the average Joe look a turbo 3800 V6. Not new tech but everything is pretty much available because of the huge after market support. Of course you will never get your money back out of the car.

I agree with Gorn, was actually thinking myself about all the costs involved with everything custom that will be required and the amount of cash that would need to be spent that you would never get back if you ever decided to sell. So, its a labor of love type thing. if you have a giant stack of cash that you wanna get rid of just for the fun of it, Id say go for it. or just send it to me and forget this whole Idea. just be sure that if you decide to go forward with this project... you Start a Thread in the 1st Gen section and post lots of Pics!

Yeah, I was doing some more research and that seems to be the consensus. I was looking at salvage auctions and the 2010 LT's are going for a lot less. I guess I should stick to the LSx's instead. Well thanks for the input.
