Are you looking for a simple plug in replacement, or is this not going to be a restoration? The kit I've found to be the absolute best is the Speedway 20 ckt. GM harness. It has everything you'd ever want, is GM friendly for almost any GM column plug, comes with new headlight and dimmer switches, headlamp connectors, plus tons of extra connectors, wires, and even plugs for future upgrades. The instruction set is about the best I've ever seen of all the various kit harnesses I've used. At $165 it's a bargain price also!
I just put one of these in my current project this summer, and I couldn't believe how easy it went in. Plenty of wire length on it, and well labeled too!

This is the kit that is coming with my 69 restoration car. I was told it was probably the best kit for the money and uses modern fuses.

I used the harness from Classic Industries but had a few issues with connectors. Several of them pull out of the sockets with very little strain. Nothing that a stacon tool couldn't fix but should not have happened. Great product otherwise and CI did offer to replace it but this happened after it was already laid out in the car.
