Winter upgrades
Starting to look at the list of work to be done over the winter this year.. Just bought the car in June-ish of this year. Got it reasonably driveable, put about 1200 Miles on it. I have a 68, 350, 350 auto. Put all new suspension in. Drives pretty nice.
I have an Edelbrock blower to go on this winter, also want to do a power disc brake conversion and a power steering conversion. Gonna do the blower for sure, bigger aluminum rad also.
My questions are on the other upgrades.. I just want to do the factory style disc brake conversion, I dont need any huge brakes or anything. Found a couple of kits online that use the original drum spindles and some that give you new spindles. Is either one better than the other?
On to the power steering conversion.. I had originally planned to do just a power steering box and pump and call it a day. Then I found the power rack conversion. The rack seems like a good idea, less wear points, newer technology. But then again using the power steering box, they have been around forever and are usually pretty dependable.
For anyone who has done these conversions please give me your opinions as to what you did, if you are happy with the results or would you do something else next time.
Thanks
Shane.
