Where can I find out if VIN shows if true SS?
Hello everyone,
Im looking to buy a 67 but have come across a speedbump after asking a company to perform an inspection. There is no proof of it being a true SS/RS (it’s definitely a Rally Sport). Is there a site I can go on that’s free to verify this VIN is a true SS - 1967 Camaro SS/RS
VIN- 124377L106539?

Your 67 should have a Cowl tag on the fire wall. That cowl tag will have the options your car came with. The vin code is very generic information. Like Manufacture, factory, coupe or convertible and number of cylinders.
I like this sight, There is a menu on the left side of the page. You can get the Vin and trim tag info. Note Cowl tag and trim tag are the same thing.

OP, this site is helpful. 67 cowl tag had more 411 than 68-69

2 things a "real" SS had in 67 was a 350 engine (if small block) and 12 bolt rear. Those #'s are also explained on the CRG site
