To me the column mounted tach looks extremely tacky, especialy with a hose clamp to hold it on. On the 67 and 68 it would block half of the speedo and fuel gauge. I realize it isnt in the best position for viewing but I am not racing this car and honestly how often does anybody look at the tach, but it is very nice to have when you do need to look at it and it is no worse than looking down at a radio.
