What do I have here
I've had this axle sitting in my moms garage for a few years. I Got it from a buddy who was going to scrap it....WTF is it? Is it worth anything to anybody here? I'm pretty sure it's a 12bolt from a 68 Camaro with 3.73 gears. Complete drum to drum.......Any insight is appreciated.
Pumpkin is stamped a few times.
3894860NF is on the driver lower corner and GM1 is in the upper
These are looking from the back
Code on axle tube is PP0417G1
removed the diff cover
Spring perch, Mono or multi leaf???

K37 casting date: Nov. 3, 1967
PP = Camaro/Nova 12 bolt, non-posi, 3.31 gears (originally).
0417G1 Assembly date: April 17. G=Detroit Gear, 1=1st shift.
CON1=conveyor 1.
Your gears are stamped: 41-11 = 3.73, which means they have been changed.
Multi leaf spring perches.

No. I grabbed it because I thought it might go into my jeep but I'm sticking with the axle I have. You say a couple hundred. What couple are we looking at less than $500 or more? I'm planning on wire wheeling the whole thing and giving it a paint job, possibly some POR

no a 12 bolt is worth around 1000 bucks or more well in my area even 10 bolts are getting really high. a camaro and nova 12 bolt is the best since they are narrower than a chevelle rear. they can fit into tri fives and all kinds of hot rods better. so its a valuable piece to have.
