What kind of 69 CAMARO do I have,

have a 69 CAMARO , original paint is Daytona yellow, x44 Norwood car, power steering and a/c equipped. Has a 12 bolt posi rear end. It has been a nightmare tying to figure things out

hi, yes thank you, I have been there and I can’t find anything. They have a ton of information but there are a lot of Norwood cars that were poorly documented.

X44 was a pretty common one. But, an X44 car is NOT: an SS, Z28, or RS, also was not equipped with style trim package.
So, your car could have been either a 6 cyl (230 or 250), or an 8 cyl (307 or 327) car, available with a lot of other options like the A/C and p.s. that yours has.
The 12 bolt rear means that a previous owner put that in there.

Agree with C/69, and does the engine match the Camaro? Nice if it did.
Check by comparing the numbers from pass side of engine, under alternator, and view two sets of numbers stamped.
Left set is VIN and it might match the Camaro's VIN on dash?
The right set, starts with a T or V = manf place, four numbers - date engine assembled, then two letters, or three letters if '72 and later engine - engine code depicting CID, carburetor, transmission, and horsepower, its application assigned.

Default Thank you

I have found more info out. I think someone bought a while bunch of clone Ss stuff and had intentions of that but never got around to it. I do know they used some x44 cars for copos but that’s whole nuther rabbit hole
