Went for a drive, parked, now car is dead

Tried jumping the 2 purple wires at the console (Neutral safety switch)? still nothing. Im thinking the ignition cylinder maybe but how do i check or what is the next thing i should check?

did you check the battery voltage?, ground wire? voltage to the starter?

With a screwdriver, jump across the start (smaller wire) and battery terminal on the starter, make sure trans is in neutral if it's a manual. If the engine turns over like normal, the battery and alternator are fine.
Then check the start wire at the starter and make sure there's 12 volts there when the key is in the start position.
Anything else electrical related not working? You could have burned a fusible link.

Small post on starter is loose even though nuts are tight. I wiggled it and it is now able to start. Is there a way to tighten that post or do i need a new starter?

You can remove the outer nut, terminal lug, and tighten the nut on the post and reassemble.
