Default Upgrade help for the Z28!

Hey guys. Just about time to tuck the Z away for the winter. Already in the low 30's here in western NY. Brrrrrr! I'm thinking of two minor upgrades to the DZ302 this winter and wanted some opinions. First, I need to put a fan clutch on it. Should I find an original piece or just get an $80 Delco part? Isn't there two types to choose from? An RPM activated one and a temperature activated style? Second, I was looking to put an aftermarket CD Ignition box hidden somewhere to smooth out the idle, starting and overall performance. Nothing for racing or high horsepower. Just something mild for it. I would like the box to be small enough to hide out of sight. Trying to maintain a stock look. I already have an HEI distributor on it but heard that the MSD or Summit CDI Boxes really give it a difference. Let me know of any experiences or rumors you may have heard about any of these. Or just your opinion! Thanks.
