how do you wire it to a HEI distributor?
i see 3 wires on the back one says ignition, where does that go?
one says trigger, does that go to the distributor cap marked TACK?
and the last says ground, i think i know where it goes

You should have four wires, red, white, black, green.

Red- to 12v source when key is turned on.

White- to light/ gauge panel circuit on fuseblock.

Green- to TACH on distributor cap, probably need a female wire terminal.

Black- ground.

 

Unless he didn't get a illuminated one, which is very rare now since pretty much that's the standard with gauges. But if that'd be the case, then he'd have three. What colors are they?
