Which striping should I go with?
Okay so I finally am able to put the finishing touches on my 67 Camaro after way too long. One of the things I'm going to do is put some stripes on it. The stripes are going to be gold i just need to figure out which type of stripes.
What do u suggest? Bumblebee or rally stripes? If i get rally stripes I would get a new hood.
Car Specs:
Year/Model: 1967 Camaro
Type: RS
Engine: 396
Paint: Green with Gold sparkle
any opinions are helpful..here are sum pix

On a 67 I'd go with the Bumblebee Stripe every time. plus if you already have a good quality paint job. You dont want to have to get another hood and try to match paint. If you are unsure just Photoshop it. Plus with your Green (which I like btw) the Gold stirpe would be more suttle in a bumblebee than rally stripes. Probably look better anyway. Just one mans opinion. Nice camaro.

with the RS, I would put on Rally Sport stripes. another reason I would do that, is because everyone and their grandmother puts rally stripes on their cars these days, and most of the time they are crappy sticker kits on the imports

Dude .. you may want to go with something totally custom ... the BB stripes look great ... but you could also do a slighlty darker or lighter green BB stripe with heavy metalic ... I also agree with the earlier posts .. since you have a matching hood .. I would keep it. Since you are not going totally original ... maybe take a shot outside the box!

there was a bumble bee stripe that was custom painted on a car restoration show once. It was a white BB on a on red 69. Someone has to remember it. One of the show clowns was named Lou and he had a Go-tee. The stripe was awesome, it was Bumble bee on the sides but sort of turned hockey puck towards the middle part of the front where the hood body line started.
Anyone remember that show???? They built a 69 convertible from a new Daycorn body shell.
