Default Starter Question

I have a starter question. It’s working fine when the car is cold and cranks the engine and starts fine. After driving awhile and turning off the engine when I restart the starter sounds intermittent, it cranks the engine but not solidly like when the car is cold. Do you think it’s a starter issue?

Likely heat sink, are you running headers?
Could just be a weak starter but heat sink is a common problem especially with headers.
You can get a heat shield and or wrap the headers near the starter .

I would also install a starter heat shield especially if you have headers
