Default Start once, not again

HI everyone, relocated the battery on my '69 Camaro to the trunk along with a remoter starter solenoid. After installing a new fully charged battery, the car started! Let it run for a two minutes max, turned off. Tried to restart, but all I get is the sound of the solenoid (sort of a cross between a groan and a buzz). May be way off here, but sorta fits the bill for a fusible link issue. Only fusible links that are visible are near the horn relay, none of which appear to be damaged (no indications of melted insulation, etc.). Anyone have any ideas? Guess the starter could have had one last go when the engine started, then died. One man show here, so it's difficult to turn the ignition to the crank position while testing some component elsewhere on the vehicle. Grateful for any ideas! Thanks!

Update: Strangely, testing the voltage at the solenoid signal wire terminal seemed to have solved the problem. Perhaps the solenoid was frozen in the open position ... dunno ... Nevertheless, I hope this may be helpful to others.
