Default Sorry for my ignorance, but

has anyone installed coli spring spacers on a chevy camaro? My car is too low from the front and the tires rub on the fender when I turned.

My buddy told me to install 1" spacers in the front and that should take care of the problem. I would like to do this myself instead paying someone to do it. Can anyone give me some pointer on how to install them. Thanks in advance

you slip them in sideways and turn them till they are vertical. I would get a new set of coils i been in a car when the spacers have come of the springs going down the road.

There's a big difference between coil spring spacers, and coil "jacks" (as described above). I've used the latter before, and the only thing potentially dangerous about them is if you happen to have your face under the car if and when it decides to pop out, which they sometimes do. If your clearance problem is due to having old worn out springs, then you'll be better off in the long run replacing them. But if you have newer springs, or lowering springs, and the issue is because of oversize tires, then spacers may be a more suitable option.

For all the work involved in installing spacers, might as well put in new springs which will work much better than the old sagging and weakned springs.
