someone help me!!!
i posted here before about my 67 dying when its idle... its a 327 4 barrel holley carb.i did adjust the idle higher but now when i'm at stops, if i'm not in neutral the car will die and i have to re-start it again. the rpm's at park or neutral stay at 1000 but when it's in drive or reverse, it will die unless i give it a little gas to keep it going... what do you think can be wrong?if i need to time it, how do i do that? do u think timing is even the problem?[sm=smiley19.gif]it'sdrving me crazy...
I would say timing would be the first thing I would check. Is your engine clean? fresh oil and filters and stuff? Those items should be in new or good working order to properly diagnose the car. If all is clean and in good order go with the timing. It can be explained here, however would be much easier to go get a chiltons manual, unless you want all of our post numbwers to go into the thousands.
