Default Smog tubes removal help

I am trying to remove the smog tubes from the manifolds. So far I have soaked them with PB but it didn't do it. I have not tried to heat them yet. Any suggestions?

At the machine shop I work at we heat around the plugs, then put wax on the plug so it melts around it. We've always got tricky plugs, bolts and everything else off that way.

Normally I just cut off the pipe and put a 6 point socket on on the fitting. If it still fightsmeI heat the fitting cherry red so it expanes inside the manifold breaks the rust bond, then let it cool down and turn it right out.

We use a block of wax thats seems to be the same thing as regular candle wax. Go to Walmart and get a candle. That way youll get that bolt loose and have the garage smellinggreat too.

I wish you luck, They tend to rust from inside out. They could be good, they could also twist off as soon as you get the fitting to move.
